The ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) Pharmaceutical Product Working Group (PPWG) has finalised a mutual recognition arrangement for bioequivalence (BE) centres in ASEAN. EU-ARISE Plus has supported the development of the procedures for the assessment of BE Centres in ASEAN. The listed BE centres would be able to serve all ASEAN Member States by producing BE study reports that will be mutually recognised across the member states. This initiative will increase the availability of generic drugs with consistent quality at affordable prices across ASEAN.
