In preparation for the upcoming ACTS Pilot, ARISE Plus held a successful series of training events for Thai Customs officers, Government Transport officials and private sector operators, including the banking community. The events were held in the Headquarters of Thai Customs in Bangkok, with the valuable support of the Thai Customs Department. The first two weeks consisted of training for Thai Customs officers in using ACTS, followed by a week of training on procedures for Thai Customs, Government Transport officials and the private sector users. The banking community was included in the private sector training, as banks will be responsible for issuing the necessary transit guarantee to ACTS Principals. Training was also provided to ICT staff in Thai Customs.
The events were well received, and will form a solid basis for the ACTS Pilot due to start in early 2020.
