22nd Meeting of the Sub-Working Group on ASEAN Customs Transit System (SWG-ACTS)

ASEAN Member States (AMS) are making the final preparations for the ASEAN Customs Transit System (ACTS) Pilot. This is due to start in January 2020 in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. With Singapore Customs as the excellent hosts for the ACTS Sub Working Group meeting held in Singapore from 12-14 November 2019, AMS made valuable progress in their national preparations for the ACTS Pilot, supported by ARISE Plus in training, technical support and deployment of the ACTS applications. The future bodes well for this flagship ASEAN project, designed to facilitate the cross-border movement of goods whilst maintaining Customs control using the latest simplified procedures and associated computer environment.
