ASEAN Regional Integration Support from the EU

ASEAN Customs Transit System (ACTS) Live Operations

02 November 2020

With the support and cooperation of Participating ASEAN Member States (AMS), the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) and ARISE Plus, we are proud and delighted to announce that the ACTS Live Operations is officially commencing on 2 November 2020.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the successful convening of the ACTS Live Operations is a clear illustration of ASEANs commitments. Prior to the Live Operations, three phases of the ACTS Pilot have been completed successfully in the six-land connected participating AMS. The three phases are Phase A, testing of simulated end-to-end ACTS Business Cases, Phase B Parallel Runs and Phase C Live ACTS Movements.

The six participating AMS are based along the north-south and east-west transit transport corridors of ASEAN which are now operating ACTS live. The six participating AMS are Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.

We wish to express sincere gratitude to Custom and Transport Authorities, ASEAN Secretariat, and private sector stakeholders for the resources, time, effort and commitment in successfully implementing the ACTS system. We are looking forward for the private sector to take advantage of the benefits of the ACTS.
